This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Williston Park is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Williston Park follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We've eaten here before - always excellent. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and especially the staff. But this review is specifically for the way they showed up for the Williston Park 100th Anniversary block party on Saturday July 11th 2026. They were amazing. The block party itself was a disaster. Both too small for the space allotted - but still somehow mismanaged and chaotic. Barely any vendors, or events. Crowds clustered in big rowdy groups with nothing to do but get way too drunk and cause a scene. It was a mess. But you wouldn't know that if you stayed in front of Varli. They had grills going, fresh food being cooked right in front of you. Well managed lines for free food, free drinks, and menu discounts. The staff and their families were warm and friendly. And they had live music, letting the kids and their friends perform. Singing and playing guitar surrounded by a lot of love. It was a great time, and we are so excited to eat there again soon.

(Sept 13, 2025) We made a stop for breakfast on our way further into Long Island. 1. Punjabi Chole with a naan topped with lots of black sesame. The chole was slightly on the salty side. 2. The tea was good, and was accompanied by Parle-G biscuits, felt good to eat them after probably more than a decade. The Paan bite at the end was nice. Chewy. Fancy presentation overall, decent food.

Unique Indian restaurant within Long Island. Varli has gained some notoriety as a new upcoming restaurant since it's opening and we went to check out the hype. The decor and ambiance harkens to these old school Indian themes, the swing seats, the motorbike, and the the Tata truck front. The food here is somewhat unique, mainly the starters which are very similar to the offerings from some popular NYC Indian restaurants. Overall the food was on point and great! I knocked off 1 star since the cocktails were subpar in terms of serving size and were not worth the price. We also did not get serving spoons and had to ask the waiter. Overall it's a decent place and worth visiting.

Loved our maiden visit! Eclectic ambiance is a portal into Indian Pop and street food culture. Open ceiling and wall decor adds to the experience. Parking was an issue. Food - amazing. Loved the kadak chai that was served on a mini βkhatiyaβ - woven camp cot. Aam panna was nice. Spicy masala soda was like drinking liquid green chilies πΆοΈ- definitely interesting (and a little addictive). Makki ki roti was awesome, better than the average execution of this popular dish. Beetroot chaat was another interesting option - like a vegetable chop that was chopped up and made into a chaat. Pizzas - kids loved them. Mango lassi was great as well. The only things we wonβt try again are the Hakka noodles and chili chicken - was rather bland, particularly given the superb execution of everything else.

Food was really really good!! They deserve more customers. Everything was delicious, staff super kind :) Edit: Adding to this review because I went again and they really do deserve more customers. Food was super good. Keema loaded fries are very good and mango lassi hits the spot.
